A Dublin home tied to a Hutch gang associate sold for €308,000 after being seized by Ireland’s CAB.
A Dublin home linked to James Mago Gately, a figure tied to the Hutch gang, sold for €308,000 at auction, exceeding its guide price.
The property, seized by Ireland’s Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) after a High Court ruling that its value stemmed from criminal proceeds, was significantly upgraded with €440,000 in renovations.
The house, originally bought for €125,000 in 2013, was found stripped and damaged during the seizure.
The CAB alleges the luxury lifestyle of Gately and his former partner, Charlene Lam, was funded by crime despite their claims of legitimate income.
The case returns to the High Court on November 19.
