Canada and partners launch free cyber leadership program for 40 women in ASEAN and Indo-Pacific, Jan 2026.
BlackBerry, Global Affairs Canada, and Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst have launched the Women in Cyber Leadership Program, a no-cost, five-day initiative from January 26–30, 2026, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
The program targets mid-level women professionals across ASEAN and the Indo-Pacific, offering training in cyber risk management, governance, executive leadership, and AI through hands-on exercises and expert networking.
Funded by Canada’s Anti-Crime and Counter-Terrorism Capacity Building Program, it includes travel bursaries for participants from outside Malaysia, with about 40 women expected to attend.
The initiative supports regional cyber resilience and diversity in tech, aligning with Canada’s CAD $226,000 investment to train 100 professionals.
Applications are open, with notifications expected in December 2025.
