Brothers Darren and Michael Greenfield, former NSW CFMEU leaders, plead guilty to taking $30,000 in bribes for union favors.
Darren and Michael Greenfield, former senior CFMEU officials in New South Wales, are set to be sentenced on November 21, 2025, after pleading guilty to accepting $30,000 in bribes between 2018 and 2020.
Darren, 60, admitted to four $5,000 payments, while Michael, 40, took two, all delivered in cash at the union office.
The bribes were allegedly exchanged for preferential treatment and contract access.
The CFMEU was placed into administration in 2024 amid broader corruption allegations and links to organized crime.
Prosecutors argue the acts undermined union integrity and reflected abuse of power, while the defense called the actions a moment of weakness with no harm to members or contracts.
Michael also pleaded guilty to making a false statutory declaration.
Both men have no prior criminal records.
