Kerri Stephens has been named artistic director of Northern Lights Festival Boreal, bringing over 18 years of experience in music programming and artist development. She previously worked at Winnipeg’s West End Cultural Centre, contributed to the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s artistic team, and founded Lost Cat Artists, representing award-nominated and winning musicians. Stephens also leads the Manitoba chapter of Women in Music Canada and supports international music initiatives. Her appointment signals a new direction for the 2026 festival, aiming to blend Northern Ontario’s cultural roots with global influences through diverse, innovative programming.
