Ghana’s top official met Arab ambassadors to thank them for development aid and urge more investment in underserved areas.
Alhaji Baban Lamin Abu Sadat, Ghana’s Presidential Coordinator for Zongo and Inner-City Development, met with ambassadors from Iran, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, Qatar, and Qatar Charity to strengthen ties and thank Arab nations for their support in building schools, hospitals, mosques, and boreholes, and for providing Ramadan and Hajj aid.
He emphasized President John Dramani Mahama’s appreciation and called for expanded investment to help transform underserved communities.
The ambassadors praised Ghana’s peaceful environment and urged tax waivers on humanitarian imports to boost impact, with Qatar Charity reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development.
The government pledged to review the request through proper channels.
