Ghanaian family sues U.S. widow over DNA test refusal in paternity dispute after helicopter crash.
The family of Samuel Aboagye, a Ghanaian official killed in an August 6, 2025, military helicopter crash, has sued his U.S.-based widow, Abigail Aboagye, over her refusal to allow a DNA test on their three-year-old child.
The family claims Samuel had expressed doubts about the child’s paternity and that Abigail initially agreed to the test but later left the country without consent.
Using DNA from another child Aboagye fathered outside the marriage, the family seeks a court order to compel testing.
Abigail’s legal team has requested dismissal, and the Obuasi District Court has adjourned the case to December 23, 2025.
