A family of three—Prasad, 25; his wife Sathya, 20; and their 2-year-old son Ashwin—died in a head-on collision with a speeding police vehicle in Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, on November 12, 2025. They were returning from picking up a relative, Sonai Eswari, 25, who was seriously injured and hospitalized. Prasad died at the scene; Sathya and Ashwin died en route to the hospital. The crash sparked local protests. Separately, a 25-year-old real estate businessman was fatally stabbed in Trichy inside police residential quarters.
