Adani Cement launched the world’s first industrial-scale renewable-powered RotoDynamic Heater in India, cutting 60,000 tons of CO2 yearly.
Adani Cement has launched the world’s first industrial-scale RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) technology at its Andhra Pradesh plant, using renewable energy to provide clean heat for cement production’s most carbon-intensive phase.
The system, developed by Finnish company Coolbrook, is expected to cut 60,000 tonnes of CO2 annually, with potential for up to tenfold reductions, supporting Adani Cement’s net-zero goal by 2050.
The project enhances alternative fuel use and marks a major advance in industrial decarbonization, with at least five additional RDH projects planned within two years.
