Four-year-old twins in Orange County, Florida, are in critical but stable condition after accidentally shooting themselves with a handgun left under a couch cushion by their mother, Keishara B. Goodrum, 39, who was reportedly intoxicated. The father, Maurice Wayne Bright Jr., 40, was arrested on charges of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Both parents were taken into custody and held on $10,000 bonds. The children were hospitalized after their parents heard a loud noise and discovered the injuries. Deputies found three firearms in the home. Child Protective Services is involved, and a judge may place the children with the maternal grandmother or the father if he posts bond.
