The Three Oaks Foundation’s annual tattoo event raised funds for abuse survivors across eastern Ontario.
The Three Oaks Foundation in Belleville is holding its sixth-annual Inked for Three Oaks tattoo fundraiser, led by artist Isabelle Payan, who uses her personal experience with abuse to support survivors.
Over 300 people are receiving tattoos or piercings, with smaller designs available for $60, helping raise funds for emergency shelter, housing, and counseling services.
The event covers 35–40% of the foundation’s annual budget and supports communities across Belleville, Quinte West, and Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, where intimate-partner violence has been declared an epidemic.
Program demand has increased by 30% this year, possibly due to greater awareness or societal factors.
The foundation recently received a $65,000 grant to expand family court support.
For help, call 613-967-1416 or 613-966-3074; in emergencies, dial 911.
