Tata Motors' commercial vehicle unit splits and lists on Indian stock exchanges on Nov. 12, 2025.
Tata Motors' commercial vehicles business will list on India's BSE and NSE on November 12, 2025, under the name Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Ltd, following a corporate demerger.
The split separates the commercial vehicle segment from passenger vehicles, electric vehicles, and Jaguar Land Rover, which now operate under Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.
The new entity will trade with 368 crore shares at ₹2 each, starting in the trade-for-trade segment for 10 sessions.
The move is part of a broader Tata Group restructuring to enhance autonomy and focus, with the commercial arm targeting growth in logistics, infrastructure, and fleet electrification.
Pre-split Tata Motors shares were valued at ₹660.75, with the commercial arm estimated at ₹260–270 and the passenger arm at around ₹400.
Brokerages project strong potential, citing the planned acquisition of Iveco Group’s operations.
