Statkraft, Europe’s top renewable energy producer, launched three solar projects in Brazil—Morro do Cruzeiro, Santa Eugênia, and Serrita—during COP30 in Belém, adding 340 MWp of clean energy capacity.
Backed by a 2.3 billion NOK investment, the facilities will generate 3,400 GWh annually, cut 111,000 tons of CO2 yearly, and supply about 5% of Brazil’s new solar capacity in 2025.
The projects, integrated with wind and battery storage, support local development through jobs and environmental initiatives.
With this expansion, Statkraft Brazil’s portfolio reaches 2.3 GW, reinforcing its role in the global energy transition and climate goals.
