Scotland honored fallen soldiers on Armistice Day 2025 with ceremonies, silence, and wreath-laying nationwide.
On November 11, 2025, Scotland observed Armistice Day with remembrance services across the country, including a ceremony in Edinburgh at the Garden of Remembrance near the Scott Monument.
Led by Lord Provost Robert Aldridge, the event featured the Last Post played by Tommy Graham, a lament by piper Eddie Molyneux, and a two-minute silence at 11 a.m. following the One O’Clock Gun at Edinburgh Castle.
Rev Dr Karen Campbell led a brief service, wreaths were laid, and the Military Garrison at Edinburgh Castle held its annual service, though public access was restricted.
Additional events were held by the Erskine Veterans Charity in Erskine, Bishopton, and Forres, honoring military personnel who died in conflicts from World War I to recent operations.
