Prince Harry's lawyers accuse the Daily Mail's publisher of hiding documents in a privacy lawsuit, denying claims of surveillance.
Lawyers for Prince Harry and other high-profile individuals accuse the Daily Mail's publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), of delaying document disclosures ahead of a January trial, alleging unlawful surveillance and data access.
ANL denies the claims, calling them "preposterous."
At a High Court hearing, both sides disputed disclosure timelines and completeness, with the claimants arguing ANL failed to properly search 36 archive boxes despite finding 18 relevant documents in 11 reviewed boxes.
The court agreed to examine 12 boxes with matching codes to previously relevant ones and ruled redactions need not be lifted.
Judge Nicklin also determined claimants have legal control over documents held by their research team and must be properly searched.
No findings were made on the allegations' merits.
The case proceeds toward a preliminary hearing before trial.
