A Palestinian mother in Gaza loses one triplet at birth, then struggles to reunite with her two surviving twins after they're evacuated amid war.
A trailer has been released for Mohammed Sawwaf’s documentary *Gaza’s Twins, Come Back to Me*, ahead of its world premiere at IDFA.
The film follows Rania, a Palestinian woman who gives birth to triplets in northern Gaza during the war; one child dies, and the surviving twins are evacuated to the south, separated from her.
Over 16 months, the documentary chronicles Rania’s struggles with displacement and hunger, and the twins’ development amid violence and instability in overcrowded shelters, highlighting their resilience and her longing for reunion hindered by military checkpoints.
Directed by Sawwaf, a Gaza-based filmmaker with over 16 years of experience, the film is produced by Alef Multimedia and Al Jazeera English Witness, with support from international partners.
