Over 700 students from 22 countries compete in Abu Dhabi’s 8th RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2025, showcasing AI and robotics for sustainability.
Over 700 participants from 22 countries are competing in the 8th RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2025 in Abu Dhabi, running November 10–15 at the ADNEC Centre under the theme “AI and Robotics for a Sustainable Future.” The event, coinciding with Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week 2025, features eight leagues and 15 sub-leagues in robotics disciplines like soccer and rescue, with over 170 teams from nations including Singapore, South Korea, India, Egypt, Russia, and China.
The UAE is represented by 10 teams and 44 students from local schools and universities.
The competition highlights advancements in autonomous systems and intelligent algorithms, driven by government support and collaboration among academia, industry, and public sectors, serving as a platform for innovation, knowledge exchange, and real-world technology transfer.
Daily attendance exceeds 1,000 visitors.
