At a meeting with a Siemens Energy delegation in Abuja, he highlighted progress on the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI), including the commissioning of mobile substations and transformers that added 984MW to the grid.
Civil works are underway at five substations, with two expected by 2026, and Phase One, Batch Two will add 16 substations with 4,104MW capacity.
The government has passed the Electricity Act 2023, activated 15 state electricity markets, and secured over $2.2 billion in investment.
