India’s cement industry, responsible for nearly 8% of the country’s CO₂ emissions, is set to expand production from 445 million tonnes in 2024 to 670 million tonnes by 2030 while pursuing decarbonization.
The 15th Cement Expo 2025, held November 12–13 in Delhi, brings together industry leaders, government officials, and technology providers under the theme “Collaborating for Decarbonising the Cement Industry.” Co-located with the Indian Cement Review Conference and Awards, the event is supported by government bodies and global partners, emphasizing innovation in green technologies, energy efficiency, and circular economy practices.
The initiative coincides with India’s ₹11.21 trillion capital expenditure plan for 2025–26, reflecting strong infrastructure demand driving cement growth.
