A historic Oxfordshire cottage will temporarily house Ukrainian refugees under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
Ukrainians under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme are set to be housed in Pyt Cottage, a historic Grade II listed building in Henley, Oxfordshire, following a planning application for a temporary use change.
The late 1700s cottage, located in a conservation area, will host refugees with sponsors receiving £350 monthly.
Nearly 3,000 Ukrainians have been hosted in Oxfordshire since the war began.
Oxfordshire County Council’s Liz Leffman commended local support, as the initiative aligns with national efforts to assist displaced people while preserving the area’s heritage.
