Beloit College denied Jocelyn Jordan's request to form a Turning Point USA chapter despite meeting requirements, amid harassment and a campus backlash.
A Beloit College student, Jocelyn Jordan, says the college blocked her efforts to form a Turning Point USA chapter despite meeting all requirements, including securing a faculty advisor, which multiple professors and the dean of students refused to provide.
After promoting the group on social media in mid-October, Jordan and her peers faced a sustained harassment campaign involving doctored images, false accusations of being Nazis or white supremacists, and threats.
The college initially said it could not intervene due to inability to identify perpetrators but banned one individual—an alumnus working in campus food service—after Jordan filed a police report.
The school denied blocking the chapter, stating students must follow standard procedures and emphasized its commitment to a safe campus, while acknowledging the harassment violated its policies.
El Beloit College negó la solicitud de Jocelyn Jordan para formar un capítulo de Turning Point USA a pesar de cumplir con los requisitos, en medio del acoso y la reacción en el campus.
