Antone’s, Austin’s famed blues club, has secured a 50-year lease at its downtown location, ensuring its long-term future and enabling the 2027 opening of the Antone’s World Famous Museum of the Blues.
A $1.3 million grant from Rally Austin’s Iconic Venue Fund, part of the Austin Cultural Trust program, funded the lease and museum development.
The museum will feature artifacts from blues legends like Billy Gibbons, Doug Sahm, and Freddie King, highlighting the club’s role in shaping Austin’s music scene since the 1970s.
The project aims to preserve blues history while supporting new artists, reinforcing Austin’s identity as the Live Music Capital of the World.
