AIADMK's Udhayakumar expelled AMMK's Dhinakaran from Tamil Nadu politics, citing betrayal and electoral failure, ahead of 2026 polls.
AIADMK leader RB Udhayakumar declared on November 11, 2025, that AMMK's TTV Dhinakaran has no role in Tamil Nadu politics, accusing him of betraying former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and failing in elections.
Speaking in Madurai, Udhayakumar dismissed Dhinakaran’s media presence as self-promotion and said public trust remains lost.
The remarks follow Dhinakaran’s criticism of AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami and his prediction of a political shift due to actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
Dhinakaran had left the AIADMK-BJP alliance in September.
Udhayakumar also announced plans for a new alliance under Palaniswami by January 2026 ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, which remain unscheduled.
The AIADMK-led alliance faces challenges after AMMK’s exit, while the DMK-led coalition seeks to retain power.
