A Sydney man sentenced to 16 years for dragging a man 55 meters to death in a road rage attack.
Bradley Wayne Wilkinson, 40, was sentenced to 16 years in prison with a 12-year non-parole period for the June 2024 road rage killing of 27-year-old landscaper Rhyce Harding in Sydney.
The incident began when Wilkinson cut off Harding’s red ute and refused to let him merge, leading to a confrontation.
Harding, who was on the phone moments before, exited his vehicle and was grabbed by Wilkinson, who dragged him 55 meters while driving, causing him to fall under the vehicle.
Harding died at the scene with a tire imprint on his clothing.
Judge Paul Conlon called the act a severe and dangerous use of a vehicle as a weapon, noting Wilkinson’s awareness of the impact and his history of violence.
The victim’s family, who attended court wearing shirts with his tattoo, praised the sentence as a message against road rage.
