Six men charged in Fiji with smuggling over 3 kg of meth, one for leaking customs secrets.
Six men, including a Fiji customs intelligence unit head and a Nigerian national, have been charged with importing over three kilograms of methamphetamine in Fiji between March and July 2025.
All face two counts of unlawful importation under the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004, with one accused additionally charged with breaching secrecy by disclosing confidential customs information.
The charges followed coordination with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, and all remain in custody.
They are scheduled to appear in Nadi Magistrates Court, with a possible bail hearing set for November 25.
Authorities continue investigating the case.
