flag Lithium Argentina exceeded production targets at its Cauchari-Olaroz project, secured funding, and advanced expansion plans with a Chinese partner.

Lithium Argentina reported strong third-quarter 2025 performance at its Cauchari-Olaroz project, producing 8,300 tonnes of lithium carbonate, with annual output on track to exceed guidance. Cash costs were $6,285 per tonne, and revenue reached $58 million at an average price of $7,522 per tonne, below current market levels. The company secured a $130 million, six-year debt facility from Ganfeng Lithium and released results from a PPG Scoping Study outlining a large-scale project in Salta with an estimated $8.1 billion after-tax NPV and 33% IRR at $18,000 per tonne. Environmental approval for Stage 1 was granted after a 14-month review. A new joint venture with Ganfeng (67%) and Lithium Argentina (33%) will develop the project, while a 45,000 tpa expansion, including a demonstration plant, is underway with applications pending under Argentina’s RIGI investment regime.
