Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood, 68, has been granted conditional bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on multiple rape and sexual assault charges.
He faces allegations involving seven women across several decades, including incidents from the 1980s to the 2010s at locations such as BBC studios, a London hotel, music festivals, and a nightclub in Stroud.
Charges include four counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault, and two counts of sexual assault.
Westwood, who recently returned from Nigeria, did not enter pleas and spoke only to confirm personal details.
He has participated in five voluntary police interviews.
The court imposed bail with the condition he not contact prosecution witnesses.
His next court date is December 8 at Southwark Crown Court.
