Tucker Kemp, a 31-year-old former Dignity Memorial employee from St. Petersburg, Florida, was fired after being arrested for destroying a Pride flag at a Starbucks in late October. Police say he poured tea on the flag, ripped it down, and discarded it, citing offense and a belief an American flag should be displayed instead, causing about $210 in damage. Charged with criminal mischief, he posted a $500 bond. After acknowledging his "poor decisions," Kemp sought and received court approval to travel outside his county to pursue job opportunities.
