Camden Council approved a sustainable redevelopment of London’s Whittington House into modern offices, preserving its iconic design.
Camden Council has approved Great Portland Estates' plan to redevelop Whittington House in central London into a sustainable, modern office space with eight floors, a rooftop terrace, and a pavilion overlooking pedestrianised Alfred Place.
The project, set for completion in Q1 2027, will preserve the building’s iconic design by architect Richard Seifert and integrate it into a 220,000 sq ft cluster of Grade A office space with nearby GPE properties.
The approval marks a key milestone for the company, which acquired the building for £58.5 million, and contributed to a 0.6% rise in its share price.
Finalization depends on a legal agreement with the council.
