A private bus carrying students taking Sri Lanka’s nationwide G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination overturned in Thalawa, North Central Province, on November 10, 2025, killing at least one person and injuring around 40 others. The vehicle veered off the road and flipped into a five-foot-deep ditch. Emergency services rushed the injured to nearby hospitals, and authorities have launched an investigation.
