Vancouver Rise FC advanced to the Northern Super League final after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Ottawa Rapid FC in the second leg of the semifinals, tying the aggregate score at 3-3 after winning the first leg 2-1.
The second leg ended 2-2 in regulation, with goals from Delaney Pridham and Melanie Forbes for Ottawa, and Holly Ward equalizing in the 84th minute.
After a scoreless extra time, Rise FC won the shootout 5-4.
They will face the winner of the AFC Toronto vs. Montreal Roses FC series in the NSL final on November 15 at BMO Field in Toronto.
The Northern Super League is Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league.
