Taiwan to survey 700,000 seniors in 2026 to boost community healthcare and long-term care.
Taiwan will launch its first nationwide survey in 2026 to identify about 700,000 seniors living independently, aiming to improve community-based healthcare and long-term care.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of the Interior will lead the effort, using NT$6.2 billion to ensure each senior receives at least one in-person visit within two years.
Data collected will classify seniors by risk level and guide the rollout of the 10-year Long-Term Care 3.0 plan.
The government also plans to expand its pediatrician program to cover children up to age 6.
