The St. Louis Blues reassigned defenseman Logan Mailloux to Springfield to regain confidence after a struggling start in the NHL.
The St. Louis Blues have reassigned 22-year-old defenseman Logan Mailloux to their AHL affiliate, Springfield, after he recorded no points and a minus-12 rating in nine NHL games, struggling with consistency and confidence.
General manager Doug Armstrong cited the need for Mailloux to regain confidence through regular playing time, noting pressure and ineffective pairings contributed to his struggles.
The Blues, 5-8-3 and last in the NHL in goal differential, also called up forward Hunter Skinner, who has one goal and one assist in 11 AHL games, to fill the roster gap.
The move is part of a broader effort to support young players amid a difficult start to the season.
