Philly McMahon resigns as Naas GAA football manager after five months, despite league title win.
Philly McMahon has stepped down as Naas GAA senior football manager after five months, ending his first managerial role.
Appointed in June 2025 following Joe Murphy’s move to Carlow, McMahon led the team to a Division 1 league title but saw their bid for a fifth straight Kildare senior championship end with a narrow loss to Athy.
Despite the outcome, McMahon called the experience "hugely rewarding," expressing gratitude to the club and players.
Naas now searches for its fifth permanent manager in as many seasons.
