No. 2 Montana defeated Eastern Washington 29-24 in a close Big Sky game, improving to 10-0 on the season and extending its winning streak over the Eagles to four games. The Grizzlies built a 22-0 halftime lead fueled by quarterback Keali'i Ah Yat’s two passing touchdowns and a rushing score, along with Korbin Hendrix’s one-handed 29-yard touchdown catch. Eastern Washington rallied in the second half, with redshirt-freshman quarterback Jake Schakel throwing a touchdown and leading a late drive that ended with a touchdown and onside kick recovery, but Schakel fumbled on a spike attempt at Montana’s 5-yard line as time expired.
