FDNY firefighter Patrick Brady, 42, died Saturday night during a five-alarm fire on the roof of a Brooklyn building, suffering a cardiac arrest while fighting the blaze.
He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead.
A 11-year veteran and Queens resident, Brady was survived by his wife, Kara, and two firefighter brothers, Jimmy and Brian, with multiple other family members also serving in the department.
Mayor Eric Adams and FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker honored his sacrifice.
The fire’s cause remains under investigation.
