Verbund, Austria’s top utility, saw EBITDA drop 19.6% and group profit fall 12.6% in the first nine months of 2025, due to lower hydropower output and an extended windfall tax, with the hydro coefficient for run-of-river plants at 0.79. Kontron reported a slight sales decline to €1.18 billion, but EBITDA surged 37% to €193.6 million, aided by a one-time gain, and net income more than doubled. AT&S posted a 6% revenue rise to €846 million for the first half of fiscal 2025/26, with EBITDA up 11% and margin at 20.6%, despite start-up costs.
