The 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, a 53-foot red fir named “Silver Belle” from Nevada’s Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, made a one-night stop in Flagstaff, Arizona, on November 7, 2025, before continuing its journey to Washington, D.C. Transported by Knight-Smith on an 80-foot trailer driven by Michael Porter, the tree was displayed behind glass at the Flagstaff Mall, where community members signed the trailer and enjoyed local activities.
The tree, selected for its shape and healthy needles, is the first from Nevada and will travel through New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kentucky, and Maryland.
Southwest Airlines is transporting thousands of handmade ornaments made by Nevadans.
The tree is expected to be installed at the Capitol by late November.
