A passenger-free Go North West bus crashed into a low bridge in Bolton, damaging the vehicle and injuring the driver.
A Go North West bus, part of the Bee Network, collided with a low bridge on Weston Street in Bolton at around 7:45 p.m. on November 7, 2025, tearing off its roof and scattering debris.
The bus, which had no passengers and was being driven back to the depot, struck the 3.7-meter-high bridge marked with a low bridge sign.
The driver sustained non-serious injuries.
Greater Manchester Police closed the road for cleanup, and Transport for Greater Manchester confirmed the bus suffered extensive damage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
