Michael Flatley must pay upfront security for his €30M Irish lawsuit over toxic chemicals, court rules.
Michael Flatley is set to learn how much he must pay upfront for security costs in his €30 million legal case over alleged toxic chemical damage at his Cork mansion, Castlehyde.
The Commercial Court, presided by Ms Justice Eileen Roberts, rejected his request for more time to submit a cost accountant’s report, dismissing claims of illness and a withdrawn presidential bid as insufficient.
The court had previously ruled Flatley, not considered ordinarily resident in Ireland, must provide security.
Insurers including MS Amlin, AXA XL, Hamilton Managing Agency, and Lloyds deny all allegations.
The case centers on Flatley’s claim that toxic residue forced his family to leave in October 2023.
The exact amount of security remains pending.
