London’s Crystal Palace Park is undergoing a major restoration, including its historic dinosaur sculptures, with work set to finish by autumn 2026.
A major regeneration project is restoring London’s Crystal Palace Park, focusing on its 30 Grade I-listed Victorian dinosaur sculptures, with steam cleaning and repairs underway.
Led by Bromley Council and the Crystal Palace Park Trust, the project includes restoring the Italian Terraces, relocating Sir Joseph Paxton’s bust, widening the Grand Centre Walk, and building a new visitor centre, playground, and sustainable drainage systems.
Funded by a £5 million National Lottery grant and £21.8 million from land sales, the work is expected to finish by autumn 2026, coinciding with the park’s 172nd anniversary.
The park remains open during construction, with updated signage and footpaths.
