The Kerala government has approved ₹1,441.24 crore in infrastructure projects under NABARD’s Rural Infrastructure Development Fund Tranche 31, with in-principle approval from a high-powered committee led by the Chief Secretary.
Funds will support agriculture, irrigation, rural power, fisheries, forest, and local governance projects across multiple districts, including solar pumps for farmers, irrigation canal repairs, paddy field rejuvenation, and waste management.
The state’s allocated normative share of ₹550 crore was exceeded, with financing at concessional interest rates.
