Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. out vs. Texans with ankle injury, worsening receiver depth issues.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans due to an ankle injury, joining Travis Hunter on injured reserve.
The 23-year-old, who leads the team with 30 catches and 420 yards this season, is expected to be replaced by newly acquired Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, and Tim Patrick.
The Jaguars also face additional absences, including left guard Ezra Cleveland, tight end Hunter Long, and cornerback Jourdan Lewis, all sidelined by injuries.
The Texans’ strong pass defense adds pressure on Jacksonville’s depleted receiving corps.
