Gavai stated on November 8, 2025, that India’s Supreme Court has consistently avoided interfering in economic policy unless fundamental rights or constitutional provisions are violated.
Speaking at the 6th Full Meeting of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts in New Delhi, he emphasized the judiciary’s role in upholding the rule of law, ensuring transparency, fairness, and predictability in commercial matters.
