India seeks clearer EU carbon rules during renewed free trade talks in New Delhi.
India pressed the EU for clearer, more predictable rules on its Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and proposed steel regulation during renewed FTA talks in New Delhi, November 3–7, 2025.
Senior officials from both sides, including EU’s Sabine Weyand and India’s Rajesh Agrawal, reviewed progress on goods, services, investment, sustainable development, and technical barriers.
