The controversy arises amid delays in appointing a substantive chancellor, following Acting Chancellor Yonette Cummings-Edwards’ pre-retirement request. VPAC leader Dorwain Bess has called for an inquiry into potential conflicts of interest. The Regional Judicial and Legal Services Commission has received the request but has not yet responded.
