Fox fired Mark Sanchez as a commentator after he was stabbed in an Indianapolis parking dispute.
Fox Sports has terminated former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez as a color commentator following a stabbing incident in Indianapolis on October 4, where he was attacked by 69-year-old truck driver Perry Tole during a parking dispute.
Sanchez, who was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds, faces felony battery and misdemeanor charges, including public intoxication and unlawful entry, with a trial set for December 11.
The network confirmed his departure but provided no further details.
Sanchez, who had been with Fox since 2021, is being replaced by former NFL star Drew Brees, who will join the broadcast team alongside Adam Amin.
Tole has filed a civil lawsuit against Sanchez and Fox Corporation.
