The 2025 Doha Film Festival launched its 'Made in Qatar' program, featuring 10 short films by Qatari and Qatar-based filmmakers, supported by the Doha Film Institute’s training, grants, and film fund.
The selected works highlight diverse, human-centered stories on themes like family, identity, gender, and societal challenges, reflecting Qatar’s evolving cultural landscape.
A jury led by filmmaker Afef Ben Mahmoud will evaluate the films, which include narratives on the first Qatar Women’s National Football Team captain and the emotional impact of breaking social taboos.
The festival runs November 20–28, 2025, transforming Doha venues into cultural hubs.
