Chatham-Kent ATV Club hosts food drive Nov. 15, selling $5 grocery bags to support local food banks.
The Chatham-Kent ATV Club is hosting its annual Feed the Hunger food drive on November 15 at the Real Canadian Superstore in Chatham, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., selling 505 pre-packed grocery bags for $5 each—each worth more than the price—to support local food banks.
The event, resumed after a five-year pause due to the pandemic, is expected to exceed last year’s success, when donations overwhelmed transport capacity, requiring multiple delivery trips.
The club is also accepting non-perishable food and cash, hosting a barbecue with donation requests, and has secured sponsorships from local businesses.
Additional donations can be made via a GoFundMe campaign or e-transfer.
