A UK man got a 12-month community order for letting someone else take his driving test using his licence.
A 30-year-old Barnet man, Drilon Hasaj, was sentenced to a 12-month community order and fined £1,653 after admitting to supplying his provisional driving licence to an impostor who took his theory test in Uxbridge.
The fraud was uncovered by DVSA investigators reviewing CCTV footage, after Hasaj arranged the scheme via Instagram.
He pleaded guilty in August 2025, with prosecutors seeking prison time, but the court spared him incarceration due to his role as a primary caregiver for twins aged 16 months and his long work hours.
Instead, he must complete 15 rehabilitation activity days, including eight focused on cognitive skills, and avoided 150 hours of unpaid work.
