Two Telangana civil servants arrested for taking ₹75,000 bribe to skip rice quality checks.

On November 6, 2025, Telangana’s Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested two civil supplies officials in Asifabad for allegedly accepting a ₹75,000 bribe to bypass a quality check on PDS rice shipments. The district manager and his outsourced assistant were caught on the spot, with the full amount recovered. In a separate case, an agriculture officer was arrested for demanding ₹10,000 to process a compensation file. The ACB urged the public to report corruption via its toll-free number or social media channels.
